1. Confirm your pregnancy.

Confirm your pregnancy with a lab-grade urine pregnancy test and limited obstetric ultrasound.

Our pregnancy tests are highly accurate and administered by our licensed medical staff. If you have a positive result, we’ll perform an ultrasound.

Ultrasound will confirm your pregnancy’s viability (meaning it is progressing and there is a heartbeat, gestational age (how far along you are), and location. The type of abortion procedure you may receive depends on how far along you are. 

If you have miscarried, your pregnancy has already ended. Other women experience an ectopic pregnancy, which requires immediate medical treatment. An ultrasound can detect both.

2. Receive STI testing and treatment.

Bacteria from untreated STIs can enter your reproductive tract during an abortion and cause infections like pelvic inflammatory disease (PID). It’s essential to receive STI testing and any necessary treatment before making an abortion decision. 

We’ll provide STI testing for chlamydia and gonorrhea during a pre-abortion screening. These are the two most common STIs, and if you receive a positive result on either test, we’ll offer free treatment.
